Sloane Realty was started in 1997 by Anita Sloane who, after 20+ years of working with some of the largest companies in the area, decided to focus on Residential Property Management. Warren Sloane joined the company in 2000 after serving in the USMC. Anita semi-retired from the day to day operation in 2008 and Warren has owned and operated the company since then. With over 175 properties in the James Island, West Ashley and Johns Island areas, Sloane Realty strives to provide not only a good living experience for their residents but also a pleasant Landlord experience for their property owners.

Warren was born and raised on James Island and in 2000, Warren went into business with his family in the property management company and successfully guided the company from managing 50 properties to more than 175 throughout the James Island, West Ashley and Johns Island areas.

Warren graduated from Presbyterian College with a degree in History. After graduating college, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and trained at Parris Island near Beaufort and in Virginia and was an Intelligence Analyst. He was stationed in Okinawa, Japan in the 3rd Marine division and later served with the 12th Marine regiment. Warren was then transferred to Tampa, FL to work with CENTCOM.

Warren has been active in his professional business association as well, especially promoting the high ethical standards that REALTORS® subscribe to. He sits on the Professional Standards Committee, which enforces the REALTOR® Code of Ethics, leads the Property Managers’ Association and serves as a board member of the Charleston Trident Multiple Listing Service, all connected with the Charleston Trident Association of REALTORS®.

His leadership has not been just limited to just business. Warren has served as PTA president of the James Island Elementary School and currently serves on the District 3 Constituent School Board. Warren stays active in local politics and serves as the 2nd Vice-Chair of the Charleston County Republican Party.

Warren, his wife Rieko and their three children – Kenneth, a eighth-grader Ft. Johnson Middle School; Samuel, a fourth-grader and Yuria, a second-grader both at Stiles Point Elementary – reside on Waterloo Street and attend Harborview Presbyterian Church.

Anita Erskine Sloane moved to Charleston in 1965 when her Father was transferred here with the Navy. She married Jerome, a James Islander, in 1967. She has been in real estate since 1985. She and Jerome, started Sloane Realty in 1997, to do property management and sales. She handled 50 properties on her own and was glad when her son, Warren, joined the business. She handed over the management to Warren in 2008 and continued to do sales. Work background includes working at Westvaco Paper Mill - 4 years - after Palmer College, ceramic shop for 4 years, stay-at home Mom and crafter, then several government jobs until we started buying houses to fix up and keep as rentals. She got her real estate license in 1985. Personal life includes enjoying Warren’s three children, crafts, knitting, reading, boating and travelling with family.

Carol Heinle has lived in Charleston since July 2005. She joined Sloane Realty in February 2010 and her role in the company is Office Manager and Maintenance Coordinator. Ms. Heinle is also a licenced Property Manager. Prior to joining the company, Ms. Heinle worked in the legal profession as a paralegal for fifteen years. She obtained a B.S. in Paralegal Studies from Mercy College in White Plains, New York.

Tiffany McCrary attended Spartanburg Methodist College in Spartanburg, South Carolina. She worked in the home building industry for three years prior to relocating to Charleston, South Carolina in 2007. Ms. McCrary continued working in the home building industry until the end of 2008. Ms. McCrary has attended the Real Estate School of Charleston. She began working with Sloane Realty in March 2009 and is currently their top Marketing/Advertising Coordinator.
